Glasslands - A New Perspective on Glassware
For Milan Design Week 2025, Glasslands brings together five designers pushing the boundaries of contemporary glassware. Organized by TRAGA, this collective exhibition highlights innovative approaches to glass design, exploring the evolving relationship between form and function in the vessels we use every day.

Despite Milan Design Week’s global reach, glassware remains underrepresented. As designers working in this field, we felt the need to create a platform that not only showcases our work but also challenges traditional perceptions of glass objects. Glasslands is a response—an exhibition that brings passion, research, and experimentation to the table, both conceptually and literally.
TRAGA’s showroom will be transformed into an immersive scenographic installation designed by Vito Salamone, to frame and enhance the glassware on display. We have also collaborated with floral designer Talea Flora to create a four-meter-long installation, a lush “micro forest” composed of a diverse mix of plants.
This concept inspired the exhibition’s name—Glasslands—a wordplay on grasslands, reimagined through the lens of glass. By placing glassware in a rich, green setting, we aim to draw a parallel between the organic life of plants and the frozen liquid nature of glass—both shaped by time and elements, yet standing in contrast to each other.
