Through The Eyes Of - A photographic exploration of the Martini Shot Glass

TRAGA launches a collaborative project titled ‘Through The Eyes Of,’ inviting 9 emerging and established photographers, set designers, and AI artists to participate. This initiative is a ‘no brief’ collaboration project that allowed each artist a complete creative freedom to reimagine the Martini Shot Glass according to their distinctive style and conceptual approach. The project aimed to showcase the diverse interpretations that can emerge from a single object, highlighting the unique perspectives of each artist.

While some of the artists are established, the majority represent the new talent within Milan’s photography and set design scene. As a Milan-based brand, TRAGA found it fitting to engage with this new wave of creatives who are actively reshaping the design landscape. The resulting works are visually striking and varied: Laura Baiardini’s contribution, for instance, infuses a pop aesthetic into her interpretation using props like toys and food elements, while Christian Kondic offers a more abstract take, playing with AI and envisioning the glasses as laboratory vessels. Studio Ellisse, on the other hand, delivers a conceptual exploration of the three phases of life - infancy, adulthood and old age.

Artists

Agostino Chiarucci (Photography) x Sade Ekwedike (Set Design)

These two up-and-coming talents often collaborate, creating cutting-edge visual content for design brands. Their interpretation features steel elements that lend a surgical and sterile feel, juxtaposing with the glass’s precise geometry.

Andrea Casagrande (Photography)

A photographer based between Milan and New York, Andrea favors analogue photography. Using only natural light, he embarked on a journey with the glass: photographing it in a cave, against a plain white wall, and vacuum formed against the natural sky. Each photo documents not just a physical journey, but an emotional one.

Beatrice Isabella Bonetto (Set Design) x Jessica Zorzin (Set Design)

These young set designers are known for their work in the design and fashion realms. Their approach visualized the glass through the lens of set design, creating paper sculptures from its packaging. They maintained consistency with pink fabric, tying their images together.

Beppe Brancato (Photography) x Martina Sanzarello (Set Design)

As a photographer and set designer duo specializing in Milan’s design field, they approached the project with a mix of studio and natural lighting, creating a dialogue between controlled studio conditions and the organic light of their home environment.

Christian Kondic (AI)

An artist blending photography and AI for fashion and music industries, Christian reimagined the glass as a laboratory vessel, integrating it into a fictional lab experiment scenario.

Francesca Stano (Photography, AI)

Francesca blends AI with photography to create dramatic landscapes and capture the glass breaking mid-air, resulting in dreamy, soft effects reminiscent of the Renaissance era.

Ivo Sekulovski (Photography)

Ivo explored the glass within domestic settings, incorporating nearby objects, memorabilia, and toys. His work evokes a poetic ambiance with soft lighting.

Laura Baiardini (Photography)

Specializing in still life, Laura creates visually captivating images using unique props and food elements. Her bold colors and patterned backgrounds create a whimsical and fearless pop aesthetic.

Studio Ellisse (Photography)

Exploring the three stages of life—infancy, adulthood, and old age—Studio Ellisse reimagines the glass personified through natural light and a diverse array of props, narrating a life story through their images.
