What went on at Milan Design Week 2026 | TRAGA
Another Design Week comes to a close—a week defined by new exhibitions, chance encounters with old friends, and the energy of the city. This year was our most ambitious yet, spanning six venues across Milan. From debuting a gravity-defying "Vertical Dining" installation to hosting intimate aperitivos where our Podio glasses met natural wines and kombucha, it was a week of meaningful dialogue and design.
Here is a look back at the highlights:
1. TRAGA x MERCATO CENTRALE
We teamed up with Mercato Centrale, Milan’s premier food destination, for a site-specific installation titled Vertical Dining. Positioned within the market's architectural niches, the "suspended" table captured a meal in mid-use, defying the horizontal flow of the station. We celebrated the launch with a cocktail evening, a DJ set, and limited-edition illustrated tote bags.
2. ELLE DECOR: Palazzo Bovara
TRAGA was honored to be part of Elle Decor’s exhibition, "Sensory Landscape," at the historic Palazzo Bovara. Designed by Piero Lissoni, the exhibition placed our Martini Shot Glass and Podio Cup on a grand 32-seat table in the central dining room, highlighting the intersection of tradition and modern utility.

3. RETREAT: Wellness & Collectible Design
Just steps from the Duomo, Retreat provided a serene backdrop of natural stone and wood for our collectible pieces. We hosted an experimental aperitivo here with food designer Darja Savina, featuring ingredients carefully sourced from Puglia by Apothéke Alimentare. It was the perfect setting to see our Podio glassware in its intended element: in use and in conversation.

4. CAPRULE PLAZA: Gift Shop
Under the theme "Design State of Mind," this year’s Capsule Plaza—with exhibition design by NM3—explored the alignment of form and concept. We were proud to be part of the curated gift shop, where a selection of TRAGA products was available for discovery throughout the week.
5. STADERA DESIGN DISTRICT: TRAGA Open Studio
For the third consecutive year, we opened the doors of Spazio TRAGA. Located in the multicultural Stadera neighborhood, our open studio allowed visitors to see the environment where our pieces come to life and explore the vibrant community of local makers and laboratories that surround us.

6. L’ESSENZIALE STUDIO & DESIGN TALKS
We were featured in the Design Week special issue of L’Essenziale Studio, a biannual magazine dedicated to visual arts. Additionally, our founder, Daniel, joined Federico Fontanella for an insightful talk on "Melt Glass and Beyond," hosted by Finemateria, Kristalia, and Volumeuno.
